Understanding Media and Culture: An Introduction to Mass Communication is a compelling, historical narrative sketching the ongoing evolution of media and technology. Today’s students are immersed in media–and while they expect new technology, they often lack the historical perspective. This understanding can help today’s learners comprehend, appreciate, anticipate, shape and control media technology.
